Depositor Agreement Form

The first step in adding your work to ScholarWorks is completing the depositor agreement form available below.

Uploading Your Work

CSUF ScholarWorks offers two ways to add your materials to the institutional repository- self-submission or mediated submission through the repository administrator. 

For self-submission, follow the uploading steps below: 

  1. Log into the ScholarWorks platform using your CSUF credentials: https://scholarworks.calstate.edu/
  2. Once logged in, click on the "Works" link in the left-side menu
  3. Click on the blue "add new work" then select the type of work that best describes what you intend to upload
  4. Complete the required* metadata fields to describe your project.
  5. Click on the "Files" tab at the top of the page to upload the files for your work
  6. Select the visibility level** on the right side of the page and confirm you have read the deposit agreement before saving 

* There are many additional fields to add information about your work that help to make it more discoverable, feel free to fill out as many as you would like.

** Visibility limits, such as an embargo, may be required by the publisher. If you are unsure what visibility level is allowed for your work, you can consult the author agreement you signed with the publisher or reach out to the repository administrator of assistance. 

For mediated submissions, follow these steps:

  1. Contact the repository administrator, Michaela Keating, and provide her with the works you would like to upload
  2. Michaela will review the journal policies where your works are published and upload materials following any required metadata and visibility limitations outlined by the publisher.
