Omeka is a free, flexible, and open source web-publishing platform for the display of library, museum, archives, and scholarly collections and exhibitions. It is available as a fully customizable free self-hosted version (referred to as Omeka Classic), and also as a moderately customizable hosted "freemium" version (referred to as Omeka.net).
It was developed by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (CHNM) at George Mason University, and is supported by CHNM as well as a community of open source developers.
