Digital Exhibit Platform

Dr. Cawthra's course is using ArcGIS StoryMaps as the digital exhibit platform. Digital Scholarship Librarian Colleen Robledo Greene will provide live hands-on instruction to the class, but students might want to also explore her ArcGIS StoryMaps library guide to learn more on their own. The class needs to login to CSUF's ArcGIS StoryMaps using their campus credentials. See the video tutorial below.

About ArcGIS StoryMaps

ArcGIS StoryMaps logoArcGIS StoryMaps is a cloud-based digital storytelling platform developed by the geographic information systems (GIS) software company Esri. Create multimedia immersive stories that can incorporate text, images, video, audio, charts, timelines, and interactive digital maps. Bundle multiple narratives together into a collection. The collections feature makes StoryMaps an excellent choice for exhibits too.

  • Technology Learning Curve: Minimal. No coding experience necessary.
  • Collaboration Support: Teams and classes can collaborate on stories and collections.
  • Methods: Geospatial analysis, temporal analysis, digital exhibits, and digital storytelling.

Sign Directly into ArcGIS StoryMaps

This 4-1/4 minute tutorial demonstrated how Cal State Fullerton students, faculty, and staff can access their free CSUF account on the ArcGIS StoryMaps platform by logging in directory to the StoryMaps platform instead of the larger ArcGIS Online suite of geospatial tools.
