About Google Earth

Google Earth is a free spatial analysis tool that renders the earth in 3D format and allows you to interact with and share stories about geographic data.

Versions of Google Earth:

  • Google Earth Web: This is the free browser-based version of Google Earth, which renders the earth in 3D format and allows you to interact with rich media and geographic data. This platform is excellent for digital, multimedia, place-based storytelling.
  • Google Earth Pro: This is the free desktop version of Google Earth, which renders the earth in 3D format and allows you to do deeper analysis with geographic data. This platform is available on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
