Digital Humanities & Digital Scholarship: Home

About Digital Humanities & Digital Scholarship

Digital Scholarship is an interdisciplinary set of practices that focus on integrating digital technologies and methods into teaching, research, and scholarship. These types of methods include but are not limited to digital mapping and timelines; digital exhibits and collections; video, audio, and web publishing; data visualization and analysis; and immersive digital experiences. Digital Humanities is a field under the umbrella of digital scholarship, but focus on applying digital scholarship through a humanistic lens.

Digital Humanities & Scholarship Assistance

Course Collaboration & Instruction

Are you a CSUF professor who wants to integrate more digital tools and methods into your courses or your own research and scholarship?

Whether you are looking to design a new course, redesign an existing course, or just try out a new assignment idea, I am happy to collaborate with you. Framing a student assignment around a digital project is an excellent opportunity to further develop your students' digital literacy skills, whether they are undergraduates or graduate students.

Instruction Consultations

I am happy to schedule a consultation with you to discuss your course idea and learning outcomes, so that we plan how best to integrate a digital project into your student assignment, and for me to provide instruction to your class.

Please use the Email Me button on the right to contact me.

Class Instruction

If you already have an assignment in mind, you can request a Library Instruction Session for me to work with your class. I am available to teach classes in-person as well as online, whether synchronous or asynchronous. Most digital project-based assignments require at least one month advance notice for digital technologies I already know.

If the assignment project involves a technology that I do not already know, I will let you know how quickly I might be able to learn and teach it, or I will try to find high quality online tutorials for your class that I can build into a course guide or Canvas module for your class.

Please use the Email Me button on the right to contact me with questions.

Student Consultations

Are you a CSUF student who wants to explore an idea for a digital project or who needs assistance with an assignment that includes a digital component? I can meet with you Zoom, chat with you via email, or meet you in person at the library.

Please use the Email Me button on the right to contact me with questions.
