The Pollak Library Makerspace has two Meta (formerly Oculus) Quest 2 VR headsets available to use by CSUF students, faculty, and staff. This is the same VR headset that I personally own and use.
CSUF Information Technology provides access to two HTC Vive headsets that can be used by CSUF students. Both are located in the Pollak Library, in the Innovation/Makerspace Center located on the 2nd floor of Library North (PLN 215), and in the Exploration group study room on the 1st floor of Library North (PLN 111).
Cardboard style headsets are a great very inexpensive way to interact with VR experiences. They fit over your smartphone. These headsets are literally made out of cardboard and were first introduced by Google as "Google Cardboard" in 2014. While Google discontinued its official cardboard headset in 2021, other companies continue to make cardboard style headsets.
