- Philip K. Dick Society Newsletter (PKDS Newsletter)The Philip K. Dick Society was active from 1983-1992, during which 30 issues of the Philip K. Dick Society Newsletter were published. The average issue is 16 pages, some are longer, and one is an audio cassette tape. Most issues include rare material by Dick. Every issue contains a long and very informative news column on Dick-related matters.
- Science Fiction Fanzine Sample CollectionThe Science Fiction Fanzine Sample collection is comprised of 82 titles, and a total of 116 individual fanzine issues. Although related to Science Fiction Periodicals, fanzines were developed by fans of Science Fiction (along with other genres and topics). Sometimes a zine brought a small group of fans together, other times it was a source of cultural exchange for the masses. But zines all have one common element: the celebration and exploration of science fiction and other genres.
- Star Trek fanzinesFanzines created by fans of "Star Trek: The Original Series" throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the first fanzines dedicated to an existing work of science fiction. Contains fan art, fan fiction, and critical analyses, Star Trek fanzines set a precedent for the level of engagement fans could have with a work of fiction, building a long-lasting community that influenced the trends of media fandoms and fanworks. Most of the editors for these early Star Trek fanzines were women, who frequently collaborated with each other across multiple fanzines, and some became professional SF authors.
