Detailed instructions on ORCID registration are available if needed. Once connected, you can log into your ORCID account using your CSUF network credentials. In the future, this connection can also help save you time by filling out CSUF forms automatically and having CSUF-related publications, grants, and research activities automatically added to your profile.

There are two other paths you can use to create and/or connect your ORCID iD to CSU Fullerton:

1. Click on the ORCID app link in the left column of the campus portal (my.fullerton.edu)
2. Navigate to https://orcid.org/signin, click on the "Institutional account" tab, select California State University, Fullerton as your home institution, then sign in with your ORCID credentials

Note that you should only have one ORCID iD. If you have created more than one, please consolidate them.

What Is ORCID?

Before you sign up for an ORCID, perhaps you'd like to learn more about it. ORCID--or Open Researcher and Contributor Identifiers--are unique IDs that you can use as a researcher to identify your academic work. The IDs help funders, publishers, scholarly societies, and other researchers to quickly find and distinguish your work from materials created by other researchers with similar names. ORCIDs are being used and increasingly required by publishers such as the Royal Society, PLOS, IEEE, ACS, Springer, Wiley, Sage, and Cambridge UP.
