Literacy and Reading Education: Books

This research guide was created to support students in the Literacy and Reading Education masters program.

Contactless Book Pickup!

During the past few months, the campus has been working to make adjustments so that students, staff, and faculty can maintain social distancing. In an effort to provide you physical books during these times, we now have contactless book pickup available starting 7/13/20. Our hours for contactless pickup are Monday-Friday, from 8am-5pm.

Please follow these 4 steps to ensure that the process is as safe and smooth as possible:

  1. Visit our Pollak Library website and put your books on hold using your CSUF account.
  2. You will receive an email when your books are ready to be picked up.
  3. Bring a valid TitanCard when you visit the library to pick up your items. Walk to the Pollak Library south entrance.
  4. Please call the Circulation Desk at (657) 278-2721 to notify of your arrival.

Your books will be placed outside the door for you upon arrival.

Tips on Searching for Books

The Pollak Library homepage is your go-to place for locating books and e-books owned by CSUF as well as other libraries. To access e-books, you will be prompted to enter in your Titan Portal username and password.

Use a keyword search when you’d like to find books and e-books on a topic or subject.

Combine keywords using the word AND. For instance: bilingual education AND instruction.

You can search by specific author, title, or subject by using the drop-down menu.
