History 332 (Dr. Brown-Coronel): Introduction

Welcome

The Rosie the Riveter poster from World War II resides in the public domainWelcome to the library instruction guide for the History 332  Women's History course.

This guide is intended to supplement our synchronous instruction session this semester, for students to refer back to as they work on their course project narratives. If you have questions or need assistance, contact the Digital Scholarship Librarian using the information listed on the right.

At the end of our library instruction session, you will be able to:

  • explain why public domain and Creative Commons licensed digital assets can be used free of charge and without violating copyright,
  • describe some of the functions of metadata in digital collections,
  • locate public domain and Creative Commons licensed digital media to use in history projects,
  • interpret metadata on item records for digital collections in libraries, archives, and media repositories.
