CSUF Faculty: CSUF has no blanket campus-wide policy on AI. Consult your Department Chair for any specific guidelines your department may have adopted. If none, you have autonomy for setting your own policy on student use of AI in your class. It depends on your curriculum and learning objectives. For some of your assignments, you may welcome and encourage students using AI. For others assignments, you may want to prohibit AI if you need to see students' own output.
