Virtual Reality: CSUF Help

Resources for the CSUF Community

Book a Consultation or Instruction Session

Are you a CSUF professor who wants to integrate virtual reality into your curriculum? I am here to help!

Framing a student assignment or learning activity around VR is a fun engaging opportunity to further develop your students' digital literacy skills, whether they are undergraduates or graduate students.

Class Instruction

Hands-On VR Labs

I am available to organize and teach a VR lab to your classes, tailoring the VR experiences to your course scope. Your students receive hands-on learning with this innovative technology while being engaged in critical thinking dialog. This type of instruction requires booking a library classroom that can provide sufficient open physical space for students to safely walk around using the VR headsets, so reach out to me early for a consultation so that we can secure your room location and reservation.

Digital VR Storytelling Assignments

Would you like to have your students learn how to create digital storytelling projects that work with VR technology? The Northwestern University Knight Lab provides access to and hosts a free cloud-based visual storytelling platform called SceneVR that creates 360 narratives from panoramic photos that can easily be taken with a smartphone. I am available to provide hands-on instruction to your classes.

Individual Exploration

If you or your students want to test out the Library's VR headsets on your own, you can do so by visiting the Pollak Library Makerspace.
