OneSearch looks at the resources available in the Pollak Library--books, e-books, journals, audviovisual materials, maps, microforms, government documents. You can use it the same way you use Google.
You can search "social justice" or " social justice issues" in OneSearch. You can also type in the particular issue or topic you have selected. For instance, health care reform or racial inequality.
Use the drop down menu. Select Books and Media (CSUF) for books and videos that our library owns. Or select Articles. You can use the limiters on the left side of the screen to narrow your results. Checking the box for Articles there will narrow to scholarly/academic and peer reviewed articles. Once you have click on the boxes you want, click on the green 'Apply Filters' button at the bottom. Also check the publication date. Change the date and click Refine.
To further narrow your results, open the Subject section. You can click to include or exclude subject headings from your results.
