African American Family History: Online Collections
Search for, and within, family histories and genealogy books digitized by Google. If the book is out of copyright, or the publisher has given Google permission, you'll be able to see a preview of the book, and in some cases the entire text. If it's in the public domain, you're free to download a PDF copy. An A to Z index is also avaialble for all genealogies in Google Books.
NARA Online Public Access Catalog
Search the U.S. National Archive's Online Public Access catalog. Search results open in a new browser window.
Online Public Access contains all of the descriptions and digitized content that was in ARC (Archival Research Catalog). Online Public Access also searches the NARA web site, Archives.gov, and the web sites of the Presidential Libraries for information related to your search. Your search results will be grouped into categories based upon the type of information we have that is relevant to your search: digital copies of records, descriptions of records, web pages on Archives.gov, and web pages on the Presidential Libraries’ websites.
NOTE: The Archival Research Catalog (ARC) is permanently retiring on August 15th.
