Author and illustrator Dan Santat has worked on numerous picture books, chapter books, and graphic novels. He is a 2015 Caldecott Medal Winner for The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend. He is also a winner of the Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators for Oh No! (Or How My Science Project Destroyed the World) by Mac Barnett. He is also the creator of the Disney animated hit, The Replacements.

His first book, The Guild of Geniuses, was published in 2004.  Since then, Dan has illustrated over 60 books, including the action-packed Three Ninja Pigs, and the humorous Crankenstein.   You can find Dan’s illustrations in books by children’s literature authors Ahmet Zappa, Lisa Yee, Dav Pilkey, Rhea Perlman, and Dan Gutman.  Dan has also written and illustrated three books of his own, including the graphic novel Sidekicks.  His latest book, Are We There Yet? was due out in April.
