The Government Documents Collection at Pollak Library provides access to government information in both electronic and tangible formats. It consists of Federal (United States), California State, and Local City/County/Regional documents. A government document is any material in any format having the imprint of a government or intergovernmental agency. It can be a book, journal, hearing, law, poster, computer file, electronic publication, sound/video recording, etc. All documents available in the Pollak Library are fully cataloged and searchable through OneSearch. In addition, many records also provide links to electronic versions of materials available online.
Attention: The Government Documents Collection is currently located in the basement stacks, north side. Due to recent damage to the electronic compact stacks, this section is not currently accessible to be browsed by the public. For all documents requests, please utilize the "Request" option in OneSearch or complete a request via the Library Paging Service. The Pollak Library is an officially designated selective Federal Depository Library. It receives the majority of the publications in electronic format available through the Federal Depository Library Program. The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) was established by Congress to ensure that the American public has access to its Government's information. Since 1813, depository libraries have safeguarded the public's right to know by collecting, organizing, maintaining, preserving, and assisting users with information from the Federal Government.
